Sunshine Beach asks more of a builder than most suburbs. We've been building on the Sunshine Coast for more than 30 years, and Sunshine Beach work comes down to three jobs: renovating the older beach houses to suit how people live now, replacing the ones past saving through knock down rebuilds, and building new custom homes that earn their spot above the beach. A reimagined coastal shack in the heart of Sunshine Beach, renovated with CLO Studio in 2024. The original character stayed; everything else was brought up to now: transformed bathrooms, bespoke joinery, refreshed tiles and tapware, and a renewed exterior with enhanced windows that invite the coastal light in.

Yes, it's some of our favourite work. The older homes here have character worth keeping, and the craft is in renovating around it: new bathrooms, kitchens, joinery and openings that bring the house up to today without sanding off what made it worth buying. Our Dolphin Bay project is exactly this.

Yes. Sloping sites are normal for Sunshine Beach and we treat them as a design asset: the fall is what buys the views and the under-croft space. Expect honest conversations early about excavation, retaining and access, because that's where steep-site budgets are won or lost.
